unconditionally
Oh no, did I get too close?
Oh, did I almost see what's really on the inside?
All your insecurities
All the dirty laundry
Never made me blink one time
Unconditional
Unconditionally
I will love you unconditionally
There is no fear now
Let go and just be free
I will love you unconditionally
Come just as you are to me
Don't need apologies
Know that you are worthy
I'll take your bad days with your good
Walk through the storm I would
I do it all because I love you, I love you
Unconditional
I will love you unconditionally
There is no fear now
Let go and just be free
I will love you unconditionally
Come just as you are to me
Don't need apologies
Know that you are worthy
I'll take your bad days with your good
Walk through the storm I would
I do it all because I love you, I love you
Unconditional
Unconditionally
I will love you unconditionally
There is no fear now
Let go and just be free
I will love you unconditionally
So open up your heart and just let it begin
I will love you unconditionally
There is no fear now
Let go and just be free
I will love you unconditionally
So open up your heart and just let it begin

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn to something beautiful
You know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
Cause you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn to something beautiful
You know, for you I'd bleed myself dry
For you I'd bleed myself dry
It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for...
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn to something beautiful
You know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
Cause you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn to something beautiful
You know, for you I'd bleed myself dry
For you I'd bleed myself dry
It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for...
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

Delivery Man
Delivery Man stars Vince Vaughn and is the remake of a 2011 French-Canadian release called Starbuck, both by 2009's Sticky Fingers writer and director Ken Scott. I haven't seen Vince Vaughn on screen in a while so it was nice to see him in all of his Vince Vaughn-y, blunt comedy glory. He was funny, relatable and original given the circumstances of his character, David Wozniak, who learns that he is the biological father of 533 children (Wozniak had been a sperm donor twenty years prior- 600 something times- under the alias "Starbuck" in a plot to make $24,000). Fast forward to present day and 142 of his biological children are filing a lawsuit to have access to his identity. Meanwhile, he is a mediocre meat delivery man who has a baby on the way with his displeased present day girlfriend. Total dramz. But, who better to handle such a largely less-than-ordinary dilemma than cool and calm Vince Vaughn? No one, that's who. Wozniak takes on every challenge that comes his way with stride with the help of his best friend/overwhelmed father/attorney Brett, played by a believable Chris Pratt. Together, the two seem to be able to keep it together. Even with Wozniak taking curious excursions to "see" just who exactly these 142 kids he's fathered are and where they are in life. Which results in some classic comedy moments."My genes are in a professional basketball player!".
The plot seemed unique to anything recent, as well as anything Vaughn has taken on (although we have seen him take on plenty of awkward), even with the story being a recycled version of Scott's French-Canadian film, only now for American audiences. Vaughn had to be the perfect actor to lead the movie, holding the necessary "take it as it comes" personality to truthfully portray a character in such a bizarre situation. Said best by a helping opinion during a time of reflection for Wozniak, "A normal person would not be in this sort of situation." In Delivery Man, David "Starbuck" Wozniak is forced to come to terms with his life as he knows it and learns that you truly are never quite ready for what life delivers.

"You smoke since when?"
"I took it up when I was fifteen. It's one of those things a girl takes up. Tells her she's more than just a skinny body no one looks at. There's a certain drama in her life."
"She notices herself. Then other people notice her. Then she marries one of them, and then they go to dinner."

Dear lord when I get to heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you'll let him in
Father tell me if you can
Oh that grace, oh that body
Oh that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you'll let him in
Father tell me if you can
Oh that grace, oh that body
Oh that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds

solid ground
---
Even though people follow orders
doesn't mean it comes from the heart
surrounded by a million borders
till it's time for us to part
Moon can make the coming seas
threaten every man on board
we find ourselves upon our knees
we have nothing but a shield and a sword
Some people break their bones
others break their self esteem
some dogs stray from their homes
some people never wake from their dreams
Some streets come to an end
others wind and know no bounds
and I'm just tryin to pretend
I know how to tread on solid ground

LaFonda Baker Q&A Preview: On the Road
Actress LaFonda Baker on On The Road - The movie: "The story is still relevant today because you have so many people who feel lost, so many people who want to venture out, so many people who don't want to just work at this one particular job, or just take these particular classes. With a lot of [today's] youth, even though they're kind of all over the place with the way they dress and the music nowadays, you call tell there's this sense of... where do we go from here?"
Watch for my full Q&A with the actress (who plays San Francisco native Dorothy Banks) on her experiences working on the Walter Salles adapt, bonding with Sam Riley on set, and how Jack Keroauc's beat era story still holds today. On the Road releases nationwide next month.

There was an amicable excitement and comfort from the audience for the night's events as guests gradually took their seats during the hour long pre-show hosted by comedian Gary 'G-Thang' Johnson. At one point during the warm up Johnson announced to the crowd, "I feel like Joe Clark up here." while guest Jamie Foxx took his seat near Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino. Movies up for Image Awards for the night included Unchained, Red Tails, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Flight, Tyler Perry's Good Deeds, Chico & Rita, Unconditional, The Intouchables, and more.

And listen to the potry,

To bar all potry haters

Then, if you don't like the subject
Of the poem that the poit
Is readin, geen, why don't
You try Marlon Brando
Who'll open your eyes
With his cry
James Dean is dead?-
Aint we all?
Who aint dead-
John Barrymore is dead
Naw, San Francisco is dead
-San Francisco is bleat
With the fog
(And the fences are cold)

Flight
Flight tells a great story about honesty. How there comes a time in your life when you have to be honest with yourself. Honest with yourself as well as with those around you. Or you'll lose them, and you'll find yourself looking for new 'thems'. You'll realize you have new 'thems' every 6 months. You'll feel unstable because you cannot be honest, and honesty is the basic structure. Denzel Washington plays a man who finally finds it in himself to embrace his honesty, after a perspective-changing event alters his life. Flight is the interesting story of a drunken pilot living on auto-pilot, who finds his way back to living after a heroic crash landing.
